We understand but every family feels things differently . . .

In many cases it is extremely emotional to go through valuables and personal items left by our family members.  We so understand this and want to help you do this task.  it's one of the most important tasks your family has following the death of loved ones. 

We always tell our clients not to throw anything away and to keave everything as it stands.  We will sort through drawers, boxes, cabinets, attics, basements to dscover what lies beneath.  Naturally you should go through the home looking for any special items you wish to keep.

As we proceed in uncovering belongings, we will pull any family important or personal items and store them in a safe loation for you to collect.

You need to make the right decisions in managing a residence or family home.  Feeling rushed or hurried to make decisions is not the best plan.  And you must feel comfortable with the company you choose to help you manage your sale.  Don't make a decision you will regret by not getting to know and understand how a company operates. 

Our company team has all lost close family members and have gone through this emotional task.  Pleasse feel comfortable in sharing memories with us when we talk or meet with you.  Part of the greving process is to recall fond memories of a lost loved one and try to move forward with the business side of properly managing an estate.

We have shed tears with our clients and feel compassion for them.  It's our nature to feel your sadness but you hire us to help you with this sometimes difficult task.  We take this very seriously and we know you will be pleased that you have selected us!

Understanding what will happen

Once a contract has been signed and all cherished items have been removed from the residence, we begin our process.

First, we strategize how to manage your sale by determining the flow of customers in the residence.    We determine areas that will be closed to the public.

In most homes we designate a room for electronics, linens, a room for furniture, a room we call a boudoir which contain clothing, health and beauty items, and relative items.

We select the best place nearest the exit for set our checkout table.  Here we cash out customers recording each sale using Square.  We handle cash and charge card transactions for customers.  Our clients pay for the banking fee associated with charges.

During our discovery phase we go through everything and move like items together throughout the home.

If we need to (and we usually do) we wash dishes, clothing items, towels, linens, etc. to make everything look clean and smell fresh.

To present a pleasant experience for customers, we tidy the home, clean areas that will reflect a maintained home, thus elevating the items,  If you would buy it, then customers will buy it.

Once we have gone through the home, we stage everything appropriately using our own tables, shelving units, clothing racks and jewelry cases.  Our final stage comes next:  pricing.

After so many years of conducting sales, we have a pretty good idea what items sell for and what people are willing to pay.  And no, eBay is not the best tool but it does help us research items.  We also have other resources to use to ensure that items are priced appropriately and have the best chance in selling.

And now - The sale. 

We hold our sales on Saturday and Sundays from 10 - 4. 

After the sale, we allow 5 days for debit and credit transactions to clear the banking system and then we meet with you to provide a check and a full accounting package of your sale.
