About Us

DuLayne Transitions, LLC is located in Redford, Michigan, half way between Detroit and Ann Arbor. We service clients from Allen Park, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Livonia, Redford, Westland, Garden City, Plymouth, Novi, Northville, Farmington Hills, Canton and other local cities.

We have experience in working within the legal requirements of official estates and under provisions of binding wills. We work for executors of estates, as well as families or friends of living or deceased individuals. DuLayne's biggest asset is our compassion. Our team has felt the sadness of losing our own family members and we treat you as we would want to be treated during difficult times. We maintain a respectful and trustworthy partnership with our clients.

We will meet with you with no obligation. If you would rather contract with another company, that is completely alright. You need to feel comfortable working with us! If you decide that you would like to pursue an estate sale, we can discuss the details. Our customers have commented on how sympathetic we have been in managing a difficult task; we pride ourselves in offering compassionate services which go far beyond what other companies attempt to do.

Unlike other companies, DuLayne Transitions does not have a brick and mortar resale store. That's why we strive to ensure proper and fair pricing so that little remains after the sale. Some companies may offer a buy out for highly priced items that don't sale. We cannot do that, so we want to sell everything for you onsite during the sale.

Our Staff

DuLayne Transitions is a family run business and is managed by family and friendly coworkers.

Tom

Tom will be the first contact you will have with our company and will be the person you will see the most. Tom explains all the details of the business, will help determine the cost of managing you sale, and will have the most hands on activity before, during and after your sale.

Joe

Joe and Tom will meet with you at your initial consultation. Joe manages the contracts, 'paperwork', all the monetary transactions, and the final reporting of proceeds. He is also responsible for the federal and state business requirements and payroll for our staff.

Joe has a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Business and manages all the administrative affairs of the business. Joe previously was a financial advisor with American Express and taught at Washtenaw Community College.

Michelle

Michelle is a graduate of Wayne State University and is employed by the Department of Human Services for the state of Michigan. Michelle works with DuLayne by participating in the overall management direction of the company and provides consultation on issues.

Michelle is Joe's daughter.

Sarah

Sarah is Michelle's cousin-in-law! Sarah works at Farmers Insurance. Sarah began with us in August 2014 and is a cheery addition to our staff! While Sarah is not as frequent of a sale worker, you may still see her on occasion.

Sandy

Sandy has been working with us for a few years now and loves to help our customers. Sandy has been working Saturdays and Sundays at our sales.

Charlotte

Charlotte joined us a short period before Sandy and also loves to help our customers. Charlotte, too, can be seen working Saturdays and Sundays at our sales.

Omer

What can we say about Tom's right had man? Omer does just about everything from the very first day of staging all the way through to the sale and after that too!
