Generally, and depending upon the size of the residence, it take us approximately 3 weeks to organize the sale.  We would request as much time as possible to schedule your sale.

Yes, we have sales even when there is a foot of snow on the ground.  We can lay down protective plastic over carpeted areas if there is a concern.  There would be a charge for the materials.

We charge a percentage of the total funds taken in at the sale which is in the range of 35 to 40%.  We do not charge, however, for the organizing and staging of items for sale, which may entail up to 60 hours of work.  Other companies may charge for those services or require that they receive a minimum of $1,000.  We do not feel this is appropriate and therefore, do not require a minimum commission,

For items which are substantial and have good value, we may suggest having DuLayne list them on eBay for you or some other website for local sales.  A percentage of net proceeds from this type of sale would apply.

Many people have a favorite charity to donate gently used items to.  We often recommend St. Vincent de Paul.  Sometimes a local church may sponsor a relief mission who would gladly take used belongings.  All these items can be taken as a taxable deduction.
